Vow Vow Vow Voom


The vows can often be the single most important overlooked detail of your entire wedding.   The traditional vows are fine don't get me wrong , if it ain't broke don't fix it right?  However, I am sure that there are some  couples out there that want to spice things up a bit and write their own wedding vows.  It can seem a little overwhelming to take on the vow writing task, but we are here to give you a few tips to help you wow your love and your guest with your wedding vows.




1. Allow your vow style to be a reflection of your couple style - Now isn't the time to try to create a whole new couples style.  Let your guest see what it is that makes you so unique.  So, if you love to laugh together feel free to add in a couple of funny lines.

2. Speak from your heart - This is the one moment that you have to tell your friends and family why you are marrying this special person.  Express to your love all the things about them that makes your heart skip a beat.  Wedding day is the perfect day to get a little mushy.

3. Give yourself time - Start writing your vows at least 6 weeks before your big day, the last thing you need is the pressure of writing your vows the night before.  Start to jot down thoughts and feelings as you move throughout everyday life.  Keep a small notepad with you at all times so that you capture your thoughts at any moment.

These are just a few tips to help you get started on your vow writing journey.  Our most important tip - Have fun!

Terrific Find Tuesday - Hallak Cleaners

Today I went on a tour of  Hallak Cleaners.  It was the coolest thing I've done all month.  I know the first thing you may wonder is how much fun can I have a cleaners? Rest assured that Hallak Cleaners is far from just an "ordinary" cleaners.

The decor and colors of the cleaners make you feel so comfortable upon walking in.  It just puts you into a great mood, along with the front of the store staff that is very friendly and helpful.  I had the honor of receiving a warm greeting from John-Claude Hallak, VP of Hallak Cleaners & Donna Serino who spearheads the bridal gown preservation division, they then took me on a behind the scenes tour of the Hackensack, NJ location and that is where the fun began!  (Please note there is a NY location. I was able to get a mini course in all the equipment that is used to make their magic happen.  They had a lot of fancy gadgets and the automation & tracking of each item that comes in was mind blowing.  However, I was most impressed by the fact that they have a person(really nice lady) who actually inspects every item before it goes back to the customer.  Nothing leaves the grounds before it gets her stamp of approval.

So WHY do you ask this EVENT PLANNER  touring a Cleaners? For two reasons:

1) The employees are GREAT
2) The EXCELLENT reputation they have for cleaning and preserving your wedding gown.

You have invested THOUSANDS of dollars into your wedding dress, why not invest in making sure its handled with care after your big day?  I highly suggest that all brides-to-be who read this blog post contact them to learn more about their gown preservation process.  What was truly impressive to me was the passion, skill, & excellence that the Hallak family and its employees operate with daily.  I could see the pride and passion that John brings to his business and that alone sold me.  I will be telling all our brides about this great service.  As  BONUS they also provide alterations if you need before wedding day.

Ringin' in the New Year!

Happy New Year!  We are soo happy to be able to start a new year off with such great supporters. 

With so many people becoming engaged over the holiday.  We thought it would be fun to take a look at some rings.. Napkin rings that is.

We personally think that napkin rings are like the shoe of the table, if you find the perfect one,  it takes your whole table to a different level.

New Year, New Us...

 


  

2010 has been so good to us. We have accomplished many of the goals we wanted to this year, and a few that we will roll over to 2011.



We are located in NJ & the snow has given us some time to reflect on how we can better serve you  and we are super excited to put our plans into action.






Soo if you didn't fulfill your whole 2010 "To Do" list, don't let that discourage you from completing the task in 2011.  You only fail at your goals if you abandon them.







Find strength in 2011 to be the best you can.  Don't worry Your Big Day will be with you every step of the way to help you celebrate even the smallest victory.  Happy New Year!
